Writer Grace Collier witnesses a murder in the apartment across the courtyard. Unfortunately for her, the very police force she accused of racism and corruption in her editorials refuses to conduct an actual investigation because she is the key witness. They’d rather bash her credibility and watch a murder scene get erased right in front of their eyes.
Office Killer is one weird horror film. The individual elements aren’t so strange. It’s an office horror where a neglected member of the staff begins killing her enemies and covering for their absence with impeccable detail. The whole thing is just really off-kilter.
In Circle, a random selection of 50 strangers are forced to compete in a deadly game. They wake up, standing, on a game board filled with circles and arrows. If they step off their circle, they’re killed by the glowing black ooze in the center of the room. Every two minutes, a drumbeat picks up and one of the strangers is killed. The contestants must figure out the rules of the game if they have any hope of escaping alive.
The Thaw is a global warming-tinged spin on The Thing. A group of students are invited up to an Arctic research center to study the effect of the melting icecaps on native polar bear populations. They discover an abandoned laboratory with no power and a quickly rotting polar bear corpse inside. Soon people start getting attacked by insects and releasing viscous sludge out of their mouths.
A young woman enrolls in medical school to help herself find a logical explanation for why she can see dead people. It doesn’t work. The first cadaver she has to hack into in Gross Anatomy gives her horrific visions of murder and mayhem that soon come to life in her new hospital home.
