When I think of great horror directors, I don't think of Brian De Palma. That's not an insult; I'm more familiar with his later, non-horror work. Then I started digging around while working on my review of the Margot Kidder-starring Sisters and realized he's responsible for two of my favorite horrors: Carrie and Phantom of the Paradise. There are more.

Sisters is one of his earlier works, and you can see that distinctive De Palma style start to come out in this fractured little crime horror.
