On the Cusp of a New Year
No overt sentimentality here.
2024 saw a lot of changes in my life. From helping to rebuild the family craft business (going swimmingly, thank you) to finally starting to learn how to put myself first, 2024 was about growth.
2025 is about building that future. I’ll be finishing up the grad school work to finalize my teacher certifications. I’ll be at events like NJ Horror Con and Film Festival March 1-2 promoting my work as a writer and an artist. I’ll be prioritizing the promotion and marketing of my newest collection Holiday Spirits so I finally can join the Horror Writers Association and fulfill a lifelong dream. I’ll be getting the rest of Tick sorted out with music arrangements and sheet music and releasing the next chapter of The Sublime Method. I’m also going to continue initially publishing long form non-fiction content through other platforms for better exposure.
There are other less concrete plans. I have two books coming by the end of 2025 (a non-fiction collection and a fiction collection). I have a couple new game ideas that could at least see demos by the end of the year. I have big plans for the My Heart Monster series of figurines that debuted in December and sold out at the last craft fair of the year. Really, the skies the limit on those cuties.
I want to thank all of you who have stuck around from the beginning and those who have joined us along the way. It’s been 22 years since my first professional publication in the horror/sci-fi/fantasy sphere and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. That focus on self promised in the dedication of Holiday Spirits should be more regular content here and elsewhere.
May 2025 bring us all a better world. We deserve it.
